It’s Black and White; our school is about getting home safely. Although material is a primary requirement, Desert Dragons emphasizes many areas of growth including: Confidence, respect for people, leadership in the community and at the school, voice, communication skills, physical growth, team building, and caring for others.
Tests are designed to showcase a student’s knowledge and ability to execute material under a level of stress. We look to constantly bring out student strengths and effectiveness at each belt level. Tests are also used as a way to assess instruction, providing the instruction team with a medium to look at areas of success in teaching, and skills that need to be emphasized going forward.
